SALVATION ARMY | July 29th, 2023 | Shop for Back-to-School!                          On Saturday, July 29, 2023, The Salvation Army will host a Back To School Child Spree for disadvantaged children in Tucson. 130 less-fortunate youth, ranging ages K-12, will receive a $130 gift card for new clothing and shoes at Walmart as well as a new backpack filled with essential school supplies! Salvation Army is currently seeking volunteers who are willing to donate their time to accompany students as they shop and help them make wise buying decisions. To be a part of this meaningful project, please contact Kristin Ohman, Volunteer/Seasonal Projects Coordinator at 520-488-3997 or at kristin.ohman@usw.salvationarmy.org to sign up.

SALVATION ARMY | Mon – Fri | Make Someone Smile, Project Gratitude!             Volunteers are needed to make donor thank you phone calls (NO soliciting)! A donor call list and a simple phone script expressing gratitude for their generosity in supporting The Salvation Army’s mission will be provided. This is a flexible, weekly volunteer opportunity. MORE THAN A BED | Tu, Th, F  | SORTING DONATED CLOTHING                              More Than a Bed is looking for volunteers to assist with organizing and sorting donated clothes and other items for the Foster, Adopt and Kinship families. More Than a Bed is committed to providing essential items to foster, kinship, and adoptive families for the children in their homes because every child deserves to be valued. We are looking for volunteers who are available on Tuesdays, Thursdays & Fridays from 8:30 am – 12:30 pm. We are looking for individuals who can commit to all three days! If you are only available one of these days, we’d still love to hear from you!
